How Ngoendang Nikah (Ngoenik) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data and that of your wedding guests.

Last updated

Ngoendang Nikah(“Ngoenik”, “we”) provides a digital wedding invitation service through ngoenik.com and its subdomains. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our service, what it is used for, and the choices you have. By using our service, you agree to the processing described here.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — the name, email address, and WhatsApp number you provide when you register, sign in, or contact us.
  • Invitation content — the information you put into your invitation, such as the names of the couple and their families, event dates and venues, your story, photos, and background music.
  • Guest data — the guest names you enter, as well as the attendance confirmations (RSVP) and wishes guests send through your invitation.
  • Transaction data — the package you purchase and its payment status. Payments are processed by a payment service provider; we do not store your card details or payment credentials.
  • Technical data — usage information collected automatically, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate country-level location, for visit statistics.

2. How we use data

  • To create, display, and manage digital invitations according to your order.
  • To manage accounts, process orders, and verify payments.
  • To send service-related information, such as order confirmations and reminders before an invitation’s active period ends.
  • To answer questions and provide support through WhatsApp or email.
  • To analyze site usage in order to improve and develop the service.
  • To prevent misuse and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in to your account. Visit statistics are collected through an analytics service that presents data in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but some features such as sign-in may stop working.

4. Who data is shared with

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only in the following cases:

  • Invitations you publish — the content of an invitation can be seen by anyone who has its link. Make sure you only include information you actually want to share with your guests.
  • Supporting service providers — parties that help us run the service, such as hosting, file storage, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, and maps. They process data only as far as their task requires.
  • Legal obligations — when required by law or by a lawful request from the authorities.

5. Guest data

When you enter guest data into an invitation, you are responsible for making sure you are entitled to share it. We process guest data only to run the features of your invitation, such as the guest list, RSVP, and wishes.

6. Storage and security

Data is kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. After an invitation’s active period ends, guests can no longer open its link, but its data, photos, RSVPs, and wishes remain stored in your account until you ask for them to be deleted.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Even so, no system is entirely free of risk, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Under Indonesia’s Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, you have the right to:

  • request access to and a copy of your personal data;
  • update or correct inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data and account;
  • withdraw consent or restrict certain processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page together with the date it was last updated. We will announce important changes on the site or by email.
